Holy Land Trip
February 27 - March 8, 2026
Have you ever wondered what it would have been like to witness the events of the Gospels? Imagine being in the boat with the disciples on the Sea of Galilee when Jesus spoke to the storm or standing on the Mount of Olives beside a weeping Jesus. Although going back in time is not possible, you can go where the events of the Bible took place - the Holy Land.
A Holy Land Experience will:
- Bring the Bible to life
- Inspire passionate faith & Christian living
- Enrich preaching and teaching
- Energize the call to ministry
- Enhance knowledge and understanding of contemporary culture and issues
Trip Hosts:
- Dr. Doug Pennington is a Presiding Elder of the Beaches/Wiregrass District of the Global Methodist Church and pastor of Carillon Beach Chapel in Panama City Beach. He worked in the archaeological excavation at Caesarea Maritima in 1976 and has over 40 years of experience visiting Israel and hosting tours of the Holy Land.
- Rev. Steve Winton is currently serving as Senior Pastor of Troy First Methodist in Troy, AL, and the Presiding Elder for the Troy/Pike District of the Alabama Emerald Coast Conference of the Global Methodist Church. Forty years of pastoral experience coupled with a summer spent on an archeological excavation in Israel gives Steve a unique point of view to opening up the Bible and its truths.
